Understand the Light Spectrum

In a world full of LED lights, it is crucial to understand the effect of these lights on our biology. Not every spectrum has as many benefits as the red and infrared.

What is light?

Visible light is part of a the Electromagnetic Spectrum. This means that everything is a wave with a length. For example, radio waves can be kilometres long. Visible light is calculated in nanometre, which is smaller than the micrometre and millimetre.

The Infrared light is not visible to the human eye. This is why a part of the lights on any Red Light Therapy Devices looks dim. In fact, it works but emits no visible light.

Our Devices use the Deep-Red (660nm) and Near-Infrared (850nm).

What are LEDs ?

The modern way of life means being surrounded by artificial light. Since the beginning of the millennium, a new technology has emerged: LEDs (light-emitting diodes). How they Work

Basically, light is emitted when electrons pass through a semiconductor (metal). This produce a certain type of wavelength. For example, to produce the red spectrum, we use the semiconductor Gallium Arsenide (GaAs).

There is no blue, green or yellow in the profile of our devices. This means that they do not disrupt the sleep cycle and can be used even at bedtime.
